Ari arrived in Australia around 36 years ago as a professional musician. He had spent years on board a ship where he entertained guests with his musical ability. After a few years living in Australia, he met Elizabeth and the rest is history. He began his new life as a green grocer and family man.

 

For the past 30 years, he has owned and managed fruit shops in the Sydney area. However one shop has received his full attention over the last 17 years... The Divine Grocer!  

 

The Divine Grocer is now one of Sydney's leading green grocers. The family philosophy that is employed here, is that food should be fresh, homemade and affordable.

Ari and Elizabeth have served and supplied thousands of local residents since 1997 and continue to strive for excellence in their customer service and products on offer.

​

Since opening 17 years ago, Ari has been visiting Sydney Flemington markets 6 days a week and has yet to miss a day! These daily ritual visits are testament to the freshness that you can expect to receive. During these thousands of visits, he has sourced and created relationships with some of the best wholesalers and farmers in the industry, assuring consistent top quality produce. 



Elizabeth is in charge of the kitchen and is proud to open the NEW Divine Canteen. Here, you can find her cooking up a storm and providing original and homemade items for everyday eating.
